Portable apps launcher (Beta 0.7)
First sorry for my english.
General
Portable apps menu is a tray launcher optimised (for me :S) to launch portable apps from John T. Haller .
This application is under on the GPL Licence.
He is based on the structure of the windows XP start menu. All images are open source (from http://www.kde-look.org/ - nuvox Usb key - Vista-Inspirate).
install
To install
- Download MenuPortable.zip
- Uncompress
- Copy MenuPortable directory in your portableapps dir (where you have copy the other apps)
you can use an autorun.inf to launch the menu,for example if your portableaps and menu are under the key root you can use :
[Autorun]
Open=PortableMenu.exe
Action=Open PortableMenu.exe
Icon=PortableMenu.exe,0
Application launch
On starting the PortableMenu scan your portable apps
To be fast and not scan all your drive on starting the application just scan a set of directory (optimised for portableApps)
- the .exe file in the same directory (copy the PortableMenu.exe in the same directory of your portableapps suite)
- the .exe file in the sub directory of the application directory
- the .exe file in the sub directory of the parent directory (if use the portable apps structure in the zip file)
The picture under show in red the scanned diretory (if PortableMenu.exe is in G:\PortableApps\PortableMenu\)
